Fuad Barahim Award for Excellence was launched in 2008 in honor of the late Fuad Barahim, founding member of Bailliage de Dubai in 1981. He was the Bailli Delegue and pivot of the Chaine des Rotisseurs activities till he passed away. Born in Yemen, educated in UK, he established one of the most respected lawyer firms in Dubai. He was an Anglophile, an elegant, interesting mixture of Arab and western culture. His wife, Elizabeth, was Swedish – she’s also deceased. Fuad was a true gourmet and connoisseur of fine wine, always impeccably dressed and entertained with style.
